Zeba 2014 - Saturday and Sunday

Hello everyone.  After some technical difficulties, we're able to tell you about what's been going on.

The trip north on Saturday was long, but uneventful.  We stopped in Mackinaw City and had lunch at the park in the shadow of the Mackinaw Bridge.  There were so many midges that they made a visible cloud, but the ice cream shop just across the street made up for it.  Dinner was in Marquette where we had a "chance" encounter with some folks that you probably know - Doug and Karla were in town for a wedding and made a point of meeting us at the restaurant. They had all manner of trinkets and candies in the shop below the restaurant.

On Sunday, we went to church with the congregation at L'Anse, where we were welcomed as old friends. After the traditional group photo in front of the church, we went into town and had lunch at the park by Lake Superior.  That afternoon, we got ready for VBS - which included singing silly songs and playing rambunctious games. By bedtime, everyone was tired.
